SENG Community Group for Neurodivergent Adults
Gifted/2e, Autistic, ADHD
Deep-feeling, fast-thinking, and tired of explaining yourself?
If you’ve ever been told you’re “too intense,” “too sensitive,” or “too much,” (or all three!) you’re not alone — and you don’t have to keep navigating that alone either.
This virtual SENG-Model Community Group (SCG) is for gifted, twice-exceptional, and neurodivergent ADULTS who are navigating life with profound inner complexity — sometimes without the language, support, or community to match.
We especially welcome expats and internationally minded neurodivergent adults who may be living abroad and struggling to articulate their inner world in a second language, culture, or system that doesn’t always resonate. It can be uniquely isolating — especially when your sensitivity and depth are already invisible to most.
Co-facilitated by SENG-certified facilitators Jennifer McKendree and Allison Krug, this group offers a space to be understood as you are — not explained, pathologized, or told to tone it down.
Together, we explore topics that are important to you and provide trusted resources to support your own growth, including:
-
Workplace and communication challenges, including masking and misinterpretation
-
Imposter syndrome and the pressure to “prove” your worth
-
Social anxiety, rumination, and emotional flooding
-
Creative expression — and the quiet urge to build something that feels like you
-
Sleep, nutrition, and nervous system regulation, especially for ADHD/2e adults
-
Expat life and linguistic exhaustion — trying to express complexity in a second language or culture
-
Relationship overwhelm and boundary-settingSelf-awareness, consciousness, and energy management, grounded in iPEC’s Energy Leadership model
-
Perfectionism, procrastination and idealism — and how these can keep us stuck
Jennifer is a gifted educator and administrator with advocacy experience, and Allison is a scientist and certified professional coach who integrates energy dynamics and consciousness to help participants build self-trust, access clarity under pressure, and move from burnout to empowered presence.
👉Next Group Begins: May 7 (Adults) at noon ET (90 minutes)

Please note, this isn’t group therapy. It’s community for people who feel everything deeply and are ready to explore their path with others who truly get it. Please commit to 6 weeks so we can preserve our warm community atmosphere.

SENG Community Group for Parents of Gifted/2e Children
You're not imagining it — parenting these kids is different. You’re not alone.
Gifted and twice-exceptional (2e) children are emotionally intense, intellectually curious, and often out of sync with the world around them.
Parenting them can feel like riding rapids: exhilarating one moment, exhausting the next.
If you’ve found yourself navigating school battles, meltdowns over bedtime, friendship heartaches, or existential questions at age six, this group is for you.
Co-led by SENG-certified facilitators Jennifer McKendree and Allison Krug, this six-week virtual group offers support, perspective, and practical tools grounded in research, lived experience, and deep compassion.
What We'll Explore:
-
Friendships and loneliness — Why our kids crave depth and how to help them find “true peers”
-
School fit and underachievement — What to do when the classroom isn’t working — and how to rekindle a love of learning
-
Parent-child power struggles — How to shift from meltdowns to meaningful moments
-
Emotional intensity — Reframing anxiety, perfectionism, and “big feelings” as opportunities for growth
-
Executive function challenges — Real strategies for mornings, homework, and transitions
-
Physiology and emotional regulation — The power of breath, sleep, movement, and nutrition
-
Self-doubt and advocacy — How to partner with schools and still honor your instincts
-
Getting to know yourself — as you raise one who reminds you of yourself!
Jennifer is a mother and a gifted educator and administrator with advocacy experience, and Allison is also a mother, scientist, and gifted/2e advocate who brings additional training in energy leadership coaching (iPEC) to help parents understand not just their child’s patterns — but their own. Through this lens, you’ll gain awareness of your energy, your triggers, and how to show up with greater presence and peace.

As a SENG-certified facilitators, Jennifer McKendree and I co-lead community groups for parents of gifted/2e children and gifted/2e/neurodivergent adults to create a place where we can gather with likeminded people while building skills and gathering support. Our SENG-verified Community Groups (SCGs) are available virtually and in the future we plan in-person as well.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Jenni M.
mom to middle-school boy
I believe that the relationship that I have with my child has improved as a result of participating in the group. I was able to learn and apply new parenting strategies that were recommended, I felt less alone in this journey among the other parents facing similar experiences, and the topics and resources were very relevant. I liked it so much that I signed up for the next one. I highly recommend.

Jennifer W, SC
mom to 8 yr old girl
The SENG parent group was a breath of fresh air for this determined, but weary, mom of an energetic, intense, precocious, charming daughter diagnosed with ASD/ADHD. Finding solidarity with parents who share similar experiences, exchanging stories, and sharing resources and ideas has put new wind in my parenting sails! The facilitators provided a structured, safe, no-judgement environment that helped me feel comfortable and challenged me to think in new ways about my daughter's, and our family's, life. I'm really grateful for these 6 sessions and I know that other parents will greatly benefit too. You are not alone!

Annie, Ohio,
9 year old son
Alli and Jennifer were wonderful facilitators. They brought a genuine warmth and compassion to the group which created a safe space to share our concerns, fears, and victories. The weekly topics were highly relevant, and the resources were very useful. I really appreciated Alli and Jennifer sharing their personal and professional experiences; their insights were invaluable. I would absolutely recommend this group to parents of gifted children and 2e children.
